A Better Tomorrow would like to begin by first saying Thank You to your committee for choosing A Better Tomorrow, Inc. to receive a grant. The funds received were used to assist with the operations of our “Learn & Work Program”. This pilot program provided structured activities, learning opportunities and stipends for our students. ABT partnered with other local nonprofit organizations: McKamey Animal Shelter, Chattanooga Food Bank, Widow’s Harvest, Teen Challenge, Ronald McDonald House and The Samaritan Center to provide volunteer opportunities for our youth.
Students were required to work ten hours per week at one of the above agencies, and attend ABT’s Life Skills Sessions twice a week. What an AWESOME opportunity, they learned valuable job skills, important life skills; they learned to give back to the community and earned money to help with school clothes, and supplies. We call this a WIN – WIN for the students and our city.
The seed you have sown will continue to grow and develop and at the appointed time, yield a Great Harvest through the lives of the children it helped to impact.
